Frequency of Coaching Sessions

I believe in working with, rather than against, the natural rhythms of life. Since many individuals have a lot on their plates, I believe coaching should occur every week at first (usually for the first two months) and then shift to every other week. This provides the time to practice and implement the concepts introduced during the coaching sessions. Individuals who want a more focused approach with quicker results may choose to work weekly the entire time.

My role is to:

  • provide coaching conversations of 45 minutes in length for a minimum of six sessions.
  • provide a reasonable level of responses to email questions and comments.
  • maintain confidentiality, honesty, knowledge and experience.
  • abide by the International Coach Federation's ethics.

Your role is to:

  • be honest. My job is to support you in the goals and actions you have chosen for yourself. Please use me as a safe place to look at what prevents you from moving in that direction.
  • be open. Sometimes I may ask questions that seem personal or intrusive. Think about this right now, and decide if you can give me full permission to be bold and forthright in all our interactions.
  • be on time for all of our scheduled appointments/calls. If a conflict arises, call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
  • tell me what works and what doesn't work when someone is trying to be supportive of you in this fashion.
  • affirm that you are fully responsible for the choices and decisions in your life.
  • determine whether or not you are absolutely certain you are ready to begin taking new opportunities and making new choices so changes in your life can happen NOW.

How do we meet?

All Open Arms Coaching sessions are conducted by telephone. You will call me at the pre-arranged time and telephone number.

How many times will we meet?

Some individuals choose to work on identified goals for three to six months. Based on experience, I ask for a minimum of six sessions. Some individuals know they are finished once their identified goals are reached. Others want support over a longer period of time. Your sense of completion will be apparent to both of us, and I will support your decision to move on.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. There will be no refund or credit for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to a scheduled session.

Confidentiality

Trust is essential to this process and all conversations are private. As a matter of ethics, the coach has the responsibility to maintain a level of confidentiality as set forth by the International Coach Federation.

Your needs come first.

If I think I am not the right coach for you, I will tell you so. I will do my best to match and refer you to another coach if necessary.
