I am an "older" parent.

I can relate firsthand to the unique challenges faced by older parents. My first child arrived shortly after I turned 35. I have two daughters, a toddler and a nine-year-old. I have experienced all the same worry, pressure, highs and lows that you have felt. I continue to learn so much from them and the myriad situations in which we find ourselves.

I have a coach.

I have used a coach to help me realize and bring forth my goals. I know what it's like to be on the other side of coaching and will strive to serve you.

My Professional Background

In addition to receiving my parent coaching certificate from the Parent Coaching Institute, I have been a Stephen Minister since September 2003. The Stephen Ministry is a non-denominational, one-on-one, confidential lay ministry that assists people experiencing difficulty dealing with life situations. Stephen Ministers are not ordained ministers or preachers. They are listeners who assist individuals regardless of religious background.

My Road to Coaching

I have always had a passion to help people, but did not initially choose a profession that allowed me to do so. I have never stopped searching for an outlet to fulfill my desire to listen and help people through mentoring and coaching staff in my business career, and generally being a good listener as a friend and confidant. My search eventually led me to the Stephen Ministry. As a Stephen Minister, I realized a coaching career would be the best path for me. At that point, I began my studies through the Parent Coaching Institute.
